We’re Go For Mischief!

Cue the muppet flails and excessive exclamation points because I, for one, am super excited to announce the first Creative Mischief Kit is now available!!!

Whew! That feels awesome to say. Seriously.

A refresher: Earlier this year I, Jennifer Vanderbeek, had the idea to open an arts & crafts supply shop in my new-to-me town of Thomasville, GA. Long story short, it wasn’t in the cards at the moment. But, instead of being discouraged (okay, so I was a little discouraged), I decided to approach it another way. The store is still the end goal, but for now I can offer the kits I was planning to carry in the store to creative explorers just about anywhere they can get mail!

Which brings us to today: the first of my Creative Mischief Kits is in the process of being packed up and will start to ship on September 1, 2015. Our first kit, Portable Plein Air, focuses on watercolor pencils as a great grab-and-go option for the creative explorer. It includes drawing and painting supplies as well as a clipboard storage case to keep everything in and use as a portable easel.

…[P]ainting outdoors requires a fair amount of gear: easel, paints, brushes, water reservoir, paper, and so on. While there are set-ups for all that available to the plein air artist, this kit gives you all the tools for a grab-and-go plein air kit. The watercolor pencils give you more flexibility for arting on the go than more traditional tubes or pots of paint, and the water brush means you don’t have to worry about spills or even finding a flat surface to set a cup down.

Can’t wait to see what comes next!
